College bands are off on tour!
Two bands from Bridgwater College's Rock Skills Academy are off on tour at the end of February.
The bands, who both play mainly covers, are seven piece Play-Doh Police (featuring Pete Collington, Marvin Dawe, Jon Dyer, Joe Lane, Abi Owen, Dec Gossling and Sam Warren) and five piece Four Men & A Mann (featuring Jess Mann, Max Mees, Jake Godfrey, Dave Morris and Tom Farkas).
Their tour will take in venues in Essex and Hampshire, and include workshops with students in colleges and gigs in the evenings. Rock Skills Director Luke Allen said "The bands have spent a year working on building a set of songs to take gigging around the country. They'll be taking a double decker tour bus, complete with leather sofas, wide-screen tvs, individual bunks and a fully equipped kitchen. They will be supported by a small production team and a number of staff, with the real aim of the tour being to share the talent that we nurture at Bridgwater College."
